games.
You won’t believe your eyes and ears as your teams Yee Ha, cheer and laugh their way through the gauntlet of
thrilling rodeo fun. They'll be instructed and scored by authentic, friendly, good lookin’ Hawaiian cowboys and cowgirls, colorfully
dressed and grinnin’ from ear to ear as they put those city slickers through their paces! And by day’s end, your guests will realize
a most colorful part of the Hawaiian Heritage they never knew existed before, but never will forget…
Description of Activities
- Steer Roping - Practice your roping skills on our Stationary Steer Heads with the help of experienced Paniolo Instructors.
After you have mastered this skill you will mount our full sized life-like horse and try your hand at roping a run away
mechanical steer.
- Hatchet Throw – Try your skill at breaking balloons on a backdrop of hay bales with specially balanced hatchets.
- Eel Roundup – Throw life-like slippery 6 foot rubber eels onto a maze of pegs. Will the eel be caught or slither down the
board and escape?
- Fast Draw Contest – Learn the art of quick draw from some of the fastest hands in the Islands. Draw your Colt 45 from its
holster as fast as you can while trying to beat your opponent.
- Buckin’ Bull – Once the folks are astride our steer-hide covered buckin’ bull they will attempt to stay mounted as our
Paniolos rock them from side to side and up and down. Don’t worry if you can’t hang on, beneath you are thickly padded mats, and
our kind Paniolos will help to dust you off.
- Paniolo Golf – A western version of miniature golf. Participants attempt to hit golf balls into various paniolo receptacles
(boots, spittoons, hats, etc.)
- Horseshoe Pitching – Always a hit! Pitch real horseshoes onto pegs. We have all kinds of authentic Paniolo horseshoe games
to play.
- Cactus Ring Toss – Frisbee rings are scaled through the air to land around life-size cactus arms.
- Paniolo Hat Toss – Scale Cowboy Hats through the air (like a frisbee) to try and hook on various size steer horns.
- Bull Darts – Mean looking bull dares you to score points by hitting target affixed to his rump.
- Cow Pie Pitch – Real looking Cow Pies are sailed through the air to pass through a hoop and land in a bucket.
- Hobby Horse Relay – Competitors race through a wacky western obstacle course in timed event (loads of laughs).
- Runaway Stagecoach – Blindfolded Cowboy in miniature stagecoach is directed and pushed by teammate through a slalom course
of volcanoes while racing against opponent.
- Note: Portions of this event can also be utilized to create an exciting night time theme event, “Hawaiian Paniolos”.
